Wheres the good doctor when you need one
I have been her patient for 10 years. She has been most helpful to me in controlling my particular condition by her earnest concern for me as an individual and providing me with continual evaluation and support with proper medication. I am grateful to have found her in this region where available psychiatrists are difficult to find.
Easy to schedule an appointment, comfortable with office staff and processing time.
I've been a patient of Dr Prasanna's for many yrs. She has kept me stable, healthy and out of hospitals during that time while treating me for a very serious psychiatric disorder which includes psychosis. I have been sympton-free during the time Dr Prasanna has treated me w/no negative med side effects. Feel very healthy.
Dr Prasanna has always had my interest at heart when treating my disorder. She has always been right "on target" when prescribing medication and, thanks to her, I have been a high functioning individual for many yrs. I might add that I had been a patient in several psych facilities, pre-Dr Prasanna, and none of them ever "got it". They simply cont'd to misdiagnose/treat, leaving me in a very fragile state of mind. Tks to Dr Prasanna I am healthy and whole, functioning at a very high level.
I try and follow the advice to the best of my ability. They have believed in me even when I had lost confidence in myself. I now realize that I need to do a better job of following the advice given.
How can someone make a completely different diagnosis during a 15 minute first meeting? Apparently every other doctor I had seen over the last 20 years with the same diagnosis as her were not as sharp as she was. I believe the fact that she was in the military hinders her ability to treat people as individuals and with respect. I have had former military docs who were excellent psych doctors, she is not. Why would the fact that you have an advanced degree change your diagnosis?
I highly recommend Dr. Prasanna. I found her very engaging, concerned, informative, and helpful in my particular situation. I truly felt she cared about me and my emotional health as well as that of my family when I expressed my concerns. I would recommend her, particularly with her expertise as a female practitioner.
I gave her 2 stars bc she seems to care for my well being, in the office setting, anyway she did neglec to inform me that she would be decreasing dosage for one of my medications which I did not find out until I picked up the prescription. Her office staff never checks or returns voice mails. I went without prescriptions twice so far because I never got a return call for a refill request. The doctor went out of town for 3 weeks and there was no way to get a hold of anyone.
