Had both knees replaced by Dr. Wardell....I now have straight legs no bow leggedness! My walk is totally different and my pain is gone! We are retired and have visited Alaska and Italy and the Florida beaches. Without this surgery I never would have been able to travel and walk the excursions. I am forever grateful to the gentleman Dr. Steve Wardell.
Dr. Wardell has operated on my knees four times, two scopes and two total replacements . He is the best and I have recommended him to friends in the past and will do so again in the future. In addition to being a great doctor and surgeon he is a really great person
Excellent doctor...patient on answering questions. Was very pleased and happy with the surgery and results. Had one knee done first and 2 months later the other knee done. Recovery went very well.
Dr. Wardell is awesome. I had a ton of questions, and he took the time to answer them all. He made drawings, showed me on the x ray and and used examples. He took the time to make sure I made the right decisions regarding my treatment. I have had several visits with him and would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family.

Dr Wardell wonderful surgeon. Had hip replacement a few years back and have been very satisfied with the outcome of the surgery. Looking possibly at knee replacement in near future and will not hesitate as to having Dr Wardell perform the surgery.
I've had both knees replaced by Dr. Wardell in the last few months. In my humble opinion he is both a brilliant and gifted surgeon. He answered all my questions and was honest with me about what I needed to do to have optimal results. Both surgeries went well with no complications. I was home in two days and able to return to work in two weeks. I have nothing but the highest praise for Dr. Wardell and would recommend him to anyone needing medical advice. Don't live with chronic pain!
I felt very well cared for by Dr. Wardell during my two complete knee replacements, 15 weeks apart. Palos Hospital and Dr. Wardell took a very conservative approach to avoid complications, and I had none. Recovery a bit of a struggle, but physical therapists and others commented on how "good" my scars looked and how well the knees were healing. My knees are now strong, mostly pain free, and I have a much better quality of life. I would strongly recommend Dr. Wardell to family and friends.
Dr Wardell is the best! I researched hip doctors when I discovered I would need replacement and I am glad I chose him. The outcome could not have been better. I would recommend him to anyone looking for this type of replacement in the area. His expertise and manner in which he communicates to the patient is excellent.
