Follow up to hip surgery
Dr. Wardell and his staff were eager to answer any questions both pre surgery and post surgery
Dr. Wardell will give you an honest opinion of your situation. He will work with the patient for options before surgery is essential, with such treatments as Gel Shots, etc., but when the time comes for surgery, he strives to keep the patient as safe as possible. He has specific guidelines to follow for before and after your surgery that will give you the best odds of not getting an infection or a blood clot, but the patient must do their part.
Dr. Wardell replaced my left knee on October 29, 2018. It barely bruised at all ans now, 6 weeks post-op, I am able to do just about anything I want to. I am very grateful for the wonderful job he did on my knee. I can finalky walk normally! Dr. Wardell is extremely skilled and very empathetic. I was very fortunate to have him.
Dr. Wardell did a knee replacement for me and I highly recommend him to anyone needing that surgery! He's knowledgeable, kind, and an excellent listener, yet firm in his expectations of the patient. Perfect combination! If you have a knee problem, you should see Dr. Wardell.
Dr Steven Wardell has given me the best care over the years. I trust him to do what needs to be done, when it needs to be done. I had to put off my knee replacements due to my husband's health and eventual death. Dr Wardell worked with me and supported my choices, which were based on my husbands need of me.
I always refer Dr. Wardell to anybody with hip or knee problems.
Dr Wardell did hip revision on my right hip May 29, 2018. He replaced the ball of my femur. Removed 2 unneeded screws and filled the holes with bone graft, and replaced my plastic liner. Incision was 5.5". Old one was 14". My recovery was amazing. He's revising my lose knee implant 9/25/18. It failed at 3 years old. Eventually he will be doing my left hip and knee also. He is amazing. I trust him 100%
Excellent and complete physical exam! Great total explanation of the procedures available including x-ray review!! Post Op uncomplicated and back to swimming and walking and gardening. Excellent listening skills. Could not have been a better total experience!!!
