Dr. Unger performed both an umbilical and ventral hernia on me recently and I was very pleased from start to finish. From the the first consultation and through the surgery and recovery, I was well cared for by an excellent surgeon who instilled confidence in me by his thorough knowledge of the problem (hernia) and it’s solution. This visit was insufferable. Didn't help us and when we tried to explain what was going. He ignored us and called the doctor and told him verbatim "why is this guy in my office?". We came to find an answer but instead got pushed away. I hope we can find a new surgeon in the Mount Sinai system that can actually listen and be helpful and not have an attitude or seem like we wasted his time. We will not be coming back

Very efficient office. Wait times are minimal and Dr Unger takes all the time you need to meet with him. Highly recommend him.
No waiting, pleasent, professional, thorough and clear
Great experience! I was so impressed - and felt so much better after my inguinal hernia surgery - that I would have hugged Dr Unger during my follow up visit if it wasn’t for Covid safety precautions. Highly recommend he and his team.
