My foot was destroyed by this man. Went for bunion surgery and should have left the moment I walked into “surgery center”. Creepy anesthesiologist as well. Had an infection immediately. He disregarded my complaints so much that I went to my own doctor for antibiotics. I have had 3 corrective surgeries since by Dr John Steinberg at Georgetown Hospital. My life was forever changed and I continue to live in pain. Sporting activities that I loved are no longer possible. DO NOT GO TO THIS PERSON!!!!
This doctor permanently injured my foot. Stay away from this podiatrist. He is a petty person bordering on nasty who would not take responsibility for the injury he caused me or for his failure to provide my consent for the procedure. I am still unable to wear any shoe that is not an open sandal. And his nurse is out of a horror movie. Go elsewhere for care.
I would not recommend Dr. Kominsky, not even to my worst enemy. I urge you to go to another doctor. Upon surgery, I got a staph infection and was treated in the worst way by Dr. Kominsky. He ignored my pain, redness, and inflammation and disregarded my emergency hospitalization result. He then tried to sell me laser therapy to try to "heal" me. He did a sloppy job and even put some equipment in my foot without telling me. It is now 1 1/2 years later and I still have pain every time I walk.
I wish I could put ZERO stars. I will definitely recommend people NOT to go to Dr. Kominsky. He removed a bone spur in my heel.p. The post op care was awful. My wound got infected, and could not heal properly for about a month. The doctor dismissed me with an open wound. I had to seek a different medical attention to take care of it. Although the pain due to the bone spur was resolved, the surgery caused a serious damage to my Achilles' tendon. I am still in a lot of pain.
He is the most trustworthy doctor I have experienced. Outstanding surgeon with excellent bedside manner. My surgery had been put off because I dreaded it. With Dr. Kominsky, it was painless and highly successful.
