Was my intestinal surgeon. He has the BEST bedside manner. Explains on any level of understanding! Highly recommend!
My daughter was bleeding out from a soccer injury that lacerated her liver and the hospital had released her without even an MRI. Thankfully she got taken back to the hospital and Dr McKenna saved her life. Forever indebited to him.
Dr McKenna is the best. Explained everything before surgery and checked on me afterwards. I would only want him to preform any future surgeries. Great personality makes you feel at ease.
In 2015 Dr. Stephen McKenna changed my life forever. I can't say enough good things about this doctor. If it were not for him and his staff I could have not come as far as I have. I am more out going and confident and my self esteem has definitely become better. Thank you for helping me to live a longer, healthier life. PS we loved his NP Terri as well. She was AWESOME too!
Awesome, Love going to this office. Went through all the pre-surgery qualifications for Bariatric Surgery, took 6 months for me to complete and get approval from Carefirst, has surgery less than a month ago and am doing great. Had very little pain and have not had any issues, except for my own fault, since the surgery. Love everyone in the office, very friendly and competent staff.
Dr. McKenna has performed (2) separate hernia repairs on me over the course of 10 years. I am about to have another repair in a different location and I will not see anyone else but him. He is the best, no BS, good humor and bedside manor. Excellent procedure and follow up. Thanks Doc! I'll be seeing you!
Explains everything
Dr McKenna saved my daughter's life when she was bleeding out from a lacerated liver and Frederick Memorial hospital had released her without even taking X-rays. He was professional, handled the procedure, our daughter who was in extreme pain and two very anxious parents all very adeptly. I'd voted him best doc in Frederick by a landslide and I've seen many over several decades. Highly recommended.
I got gallbladder surgery at holly cross Germantown this past week and he performed it. I was in and out and did not even know what happened. Very friendly and professional, even apologized when he was late. I'm still in pain but it went well. thank you.
