Treatment for serious TMJ. The pain was excruciating but Dr Harkins provided relief and built appliances to prevent grinding and keep the teeth aligned properly. The relief took a while but was very satisfactory. After the first year Swanee did the adjustments and cleaning and she was very effective. She is also extremely helpful, personable, comforting and took great care to get a good fit.

Dr. Harkins is very knowledgeable and an innovador. He definitively thinks out of the box when seeking solutions for his patients. He has a solid professional formation not only as a DDS but as a scientist. His office staff is gentle and efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Harkins

I have a severe TMJ Condition. Dr Harkins has served as a light in the darkness through the whole ordeal. I originally had a frozen jaw and muscle pain. No jaw treatment was covered under health insur at the time and only a little under dental. The cost was going to be more than I could pay. Dr Harkins was wonderful! He told me where I could go to get ultrasound safely for really cheap and only did the basic splint that my dental could cover. I quickly recovered 100%! I am being treated for TMD, and see both Dr. Harkins and Dr. Maruflu. They are both way above the norm! I recommend them highly.

I am not one to go out of my way to rate anyone or anything; however, the attention devoted to delivering me the most professional service I've ever experienced, is the service given to me by Dr. Harkins, Dr. Gray & the entire staff at Dr. Harkins Office!!! If you need a highly skilled, knowledgeable & very caring dentist, you simply can't go wrong by scheduling an appointment with Dr. Harkins. I saw Dr. Harkins for a snore guard. I was referred by my wonderful PCP who had one from Dr. Harkins. I am very satisfied with my snore guard. More importantly I am thrilled with the quality of care received from Dr. Harkins, his fellow dentist, and all of his skilled staff. I was treated so well. I had a dislocated jaw with a large hematoma (blood clot) impeding the proper repositioning of the jaw. I have had this condition (TMD) around ten years, but this was the wost dislocation I have suffered and indeed, Dr. Harkin commented it was one of the worst he had seen. Dr. Harkins is a great resource,educator and medical professional, however, some of his office staff and one dentist in his practice leave a lot to be desired. In addition, the billing process and prices are not effectively described and prices were much more then anticipated when it was all said and done.

I do not believe a word of what this prior reviewer is saying about Dr. Harkins and his staff. I have been a TMD/headache patient of his for over 10 years and have never experienced any of these compliants. I have had the opposite experience and have referred many people to his office. They are very happy with Dr. Harkins. I called one of his nurses after I read this horrible reveiw and she told me this lady was asked by Dr. Harkins to leave his office because of her angry and disruptive behavior.
