Dr Russo was an awful doctor to my son. At his 3 year check up she kicked us out of the room so she could examine my son herself and later called us into the room and told us he had bad behavior. He was only 3. We've since switched doctors and our new doctor has said that was unethical. I think she is the worst doctor I've ever encountered.
While we usually have a wait and the kids are hyper by the time she gets in the room, it is always well worth it. She talks to the kids and makes them feel comfortalble and always takes the time to make sure you understand what is going on and the treatment for it. Always has a friendly disposition and a smile on her face.
Dr Russo is very rude and has an awful temper. I highly encourage others not to go to this office. Dr Russo was inacurate in diagnosing my son and didn't listen to me when I told her what was going on with him. She dismissed me as a "new mother". The office is very clean and organized but that really doesn't matter when the doctor doesn't know what she is doing.
I felt there was too much presure to schedule un-needed appointments (since her move to be an independent doctor...she was fine when she was with Hamot). She also charges more to dip urine, check eyes, etc. Things that I thought should have been included as part of the exam. I disagreed with her once and she lost her temper. No thanks.
She is a doctor with her own building now, right by McDowell High School. She really care about her patients. I wish i never had to "graduate" out of a pediatric doctor. I would recommend her to anyone.
