Not many choices in our town. Had appt with him. Arrived and after one hour was told he was late and I was shown the Nurse/Prac. Was then told the system was down that day, so she couldn't refer to my records. Handed me a colonoscopy prep kit ( I wasn't there for that at all) and walked me out with no further appt. I had to call back 3 weeks later to ask for another appt. Very little information from him during visits.
Staff are very rude even on the phone. You don't even get a follow or a phone call when your labs are way abnormal. There system was down few months ago and never followed with patients. when you call the office you get attitude. Staff is very poor. I am doing this on behalf of my daughter.
I have been seeing Dr. Munnangi for about 12 years and can say with out hesitation one of the best Medical Professionals I have ever dealt with in my 50 years. One time I got a piece of chicken caught in my throat (I thought I was going to die) went to the ER and they hoe and hawed then Dr. Munnangi showed up and rushed me straight into the operating room I can't thank him enough. Excellent and professional.
Twice now it has occurred that the prescription for the jug of liquid needed for a colonoscopy has been denied and then the pharmacy says to resubmit a different prescription. Does the office really not know what Blue Cross covers? Regardless, his office staff need training in compassion and understanding rural populations that have to drive 45 minutes to the pharmacy just to be told it was not approved. I was hung up on once and told it was my problem when trying to figure out the issue.
Yes I will recommend Dr. Munnangi to my family and friends. He's excellent in what he does. I know this for a fact. I've seen the procedures done on my mother and everything went very smoothly.
Worst Physician I have ever been too! I believe my health has worsened due to his lack of empathy and concern for my condition. I have been suffering from a colitis flare for about 3 weeks now; my appointment that was to determine if I needed to be hospitalized was canceled by the receptionist 15mins before the appt time due to the dr leaving to India. What was worse was there was no on call dr or no referral to be given the lady told me to contact my PCP. What a joke! This is why the ER crowded
