I was referred to Dr Munnangi by my PCP. After a few weeks of the referral being sent I called to check the status. The receptionist was extremely rude, seemed put out. She was the most unhelpful person I have come across. I had seen another provider for my issue and had a colonoscopy and endoscopy about 6 mo. ago. The telehealth appt to discuss my colonoscopy results was today, but Dr Munnangi and his staff did not call. After he was 30 minutes late, I called the office. He had left for the day. I was holding my phone so I would not miss the appt, but they said they couldn’t contact me. Caller ID confirmed they never called. The anesthesiologist and staff were pleasant at the colonoscopy. My visit here was awesome. Dr, Munnangi is very knowledgeable. He took his time to explain the procedures and answer my questions. He made sure that I was comfortable and understood everything that was about to happen. The nursing staff were exceptional as well. They would always make sure that I knew the next step and what to expect in the process. I was very nervous, but it was a great experience and at the end i did not remember the procedure at all!
I had a wonderful experience in this place! The staff is extremely nice and professional, all the questions that I had were answered and made me feel safe. I would recommend this Dr. to anybody for the amazing staff he has and great work he does. At the beginning I was a bit skeptical of having this procedure done due to the reviews but definitely come in see for yourself I found the reviews misleading!
Husband had rectal bleeding, waited for 3 weeks after pvp sent paperwork, receptionist said they were scheduled 6 weeks out. Ok I guess if he keeps bleeding I can go to ER, I thought. Waited another 4 weeks heard nothing. Called munnangis office they cut me off before I was done talking, asked what insurance. I replied Medicare, they said oh you can make the appointment yourself. I think the staff is very friendly and clinic is clean. I had one really good experience having an endoscopy and I went today for another 2 years later and it was painful. For some reason I didn't fall asleep like I was supposed to but I'm not blaming it on the staff maybe my body just wasn't cooperating. I would like to see the doctor more. But when he comes in you are ready to get your procedure done. Everyone is helpful.
It's nothing more than a drive thru colonoscopy mill. I think the state of CA medical board should look into this place. It's dirty, staff appear to lack basic skills. I felt so uncomfortable that I canceled my procedure and left.
This place is terrible. The doctor doesn't communicate, you never even get to talk to him. If there's a problem, they just give you a referral. They don't explain anything. It is a procedure mill with no bedside manner, no communication - you are a task only - and not treated like a person. Avoid this Dr. - seriously, any other place would be better.
