I've been seeing Dr Madan for over 15 years and she is the best medical professional I've ever worked with (and I come from a medical family). She is compassionate and caring, stays current and ahead on all new medical research, is very thorough in understanding the full picture of a patient's health and yet takes a very reasonable and balanced approach to recommending treatment. I’ve been seeing Sherna since 1995. In 1994, I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes by my primary physician, and he kept increasing different medications to treat Type 2 for a year, and my blood sugars kept rising and my weight kept dropping. I not only felt bad, but I looked bad too. Finally my HMO allowed me one visit to a specialist, and with luck on my side, I picked Dr. Madan. I've been seeing Dr. Madan off and on for nearly 20 years. I was first referred to her by my primary physician when she suspected that I had Grave's Disease. I'll be forever grateful that Dr. Madan suggested taking some medication for a ew years to "give my thyroid a vacation" it took awhile, but it worked and I don't have to struggle with Synthroid. I hadn't known at the time just how big a deal that was. My sister had thyroid cancer, and is now on Synthroid and struggles constantly to keep her weight even. It affects her, ... read more
