Dr. Kachar and his staff provided excellent care from the beginning of diagnosis through hip replacement surgery and post operatively. I never felt rushed, my questions and concerns were addressed and procedures explained. My surgery went well, I was discharged home the same day. My pain while recuperating was minimal and manageable. I am extremely happy with Dr. Kachar and my new hip! I wouldn't consider going to any other doctor!
Saw Dr, Kachar in January for knee replacement after being referred by my Dr. After x-rays and consultation, Dr. Kachar did the procedure on 30 Jan 23. He is very thorough in explanation of the procedure, taking the time to answer all my questions. His staff is also excellent, making themselves available for follow-up and scheduling. Dr. Kachar is prompt and efficient with his appointments, does no leave you sitting, wondering what is going on.
Dr. Kachar was recommended to me when I asked my PT which Doctor had produced the best total knee replacement results for her patients. I am a former athlete (football) and very active (tennis etc..) individual and that was very important to me. Dr. Kachar provided consultation, injections and ultimately replaced both knees for me. Went to see Dr. Kachar after trying physical therapy to help with the onset of leg pain that was interfering with my daily walking routine. X-rays identified arthritis in the hip. I appreciated that he didn't immediately recommend surgery. We tried medication which I didn't want to continue taking long-term, and then an injection. The pain was increasing and x-rays showed the arthritis was worsening, so we planned for surgery. The surgery went well and my recovery was smooth, and pretty quick. Dr. S.M. Kachar, D.O. is very kind, attentive and caring. Dr. S.M. Kachar’s bedside manner and mindful presence are exceptional and generally rare among doctors. I never felt rushed during our appointment. The doctor took time to listen to all of my concerns and to explain everything very thoroughly. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Kachar. He was willing to see me right away and recommended surgery as soon as possible. He also prescribed pre-therapy, which helped immensely in my recovery after my total knee replacement. Dr. Kachar is professional and informative (as is his medical assistant, Lucas). He gave clear and thorough instructions and was encouraging throughout the process. Dr Kachar performed knee replacements of both of my knees. I can do things now, that I was unable to do previously. He answers all questions and explains everything that I asked. It amazed me that the implants were made to fit my exact knee. The technology is great , and I cannot even feel that there is anything different inside my knee! He is also kind, polite and attentive to his patients. I trust his surgical expertise 100%
