Good attentions to my condition
Dr Kazi is way more interested in charging you $75 late fee if you are only ONE minute later than the 15minute allowed time past your appointment. And, the staff still refuses to see you for the 45 minutes left on your session . So, if you are habitually late , find another Dr.
I recently had my first visit to Dr. Kazi's office and met with one of her Physician Assistants. Her staff was very courteous and professional. They did a great job of listening to my concerns and medical history. I'm very grateful to have Dr. Kazi and her staff for this area of specialization in my medical treatment.
It took me years to find a facility, staff , and Dr. to Finaly allow my self to get help. The moment i walked in it was an experience. They worked with me with a very fair cost without insurance. Respected the time my appointment was set for. During my visit the Dr. Was very respectful, honest, and more than anything willing to help. He made sure i was going to be ok and regain hope and control of my life.
Billing is awful. I paid $159.84 7/11/2018 and they literally cannot tell me why. Long story short they never ran through my primary and billed me for "past appointments" they have yet to send me proof.
I had an issue a year or so ago when my company was late depositing my HSA money onto my card. My husband was out of work and I had no way to pay for my appointment. I called to explain and was told that they were still going to charge me for a missed appointment. I was sobbing hysterically, begging for them to work with me. I asked if I could come to my appointment and pay later they would not work with me. After 5 minutes of sobbing they agreed not to charge me. Horrible, money-hungry people.
This review isn't about Dr. Kazi herself but her staff. When you go to Mid-Cities, you see Dr. Kazi once then it was with her nurse practitioners from then on out. Her nurse practitioners are extremely insensitive and rude. They should not be working in a mental health facility. They do NOT have any sense of urgency when it comes to helping a patient, messages left never make it to the nurses etc. Unless Dr. Kazi can find herself better staff, I would not recommend this practice at all.
Dr Kazi seems to be a fine doctor, but the office staff is the worst. Prescriptions and insurance are repeatedly bungled. Definitely not worth the hassle.
Being new to the area and finding a great female psychiatrist is very stressful. I’m so happy to have found Dr Kazi and her staff! On the first visit, Dr Kazi made me feel welcomed and comfortable; listening patiently, thoughtfully and carefully as I talked. I genuinely felt cared for. She is a blessing to my mental health needs!
