I had an office appointment with Dr. Giday during which time he was courteous, kind and asked and answered questions thoughtfully. He did my colonoscopy and all went very well. I would not give praise, however, for his office, Center for Digestive Health, or his assistant. I found it very difficult to get through to the office by phone, usually being placed on hold, with a recording asking me to leave my name and number. Impossible to reach him. The office staff will bounce your call around and around, never address your problem, and blame you for things that go wrong. Dr Giday will not return your call for assistance.

Dr. Samuel Giday is the very best GI specialist in the state of Florida. He spent an extensive amount of time answering all of my questions. He actually came in while he was supposed to be on vacation in the earliest morning hours to execute my endoscopy and he stayed until after I recovered to explain my prognosis. He provided a caring demeanor and presented all the information in a straight forward manner. I would highly recommend his practice. He is in high demand. I totally trusted him.

I initially went to him on the recommendation of my PCP. His office side manner is very good and the office seems to run on time. I didn't like having to pay for an office visit to review test results which were normal. On the day of my colonoscopy, he was over an hour late with no apologies which is the primary reason for the low rating.

In response to Carmela Brown's request that I contact her regarding my experience. I have left multiple messages and have yet to receive a return call. Just more evidence that neither the doctor nor his staff have any interest in their patients. I will be filing a complaint with the state and my insurance company.

Dr. Gidday was efficient at doing the endoscope and colonoscopy. He is a brilliant doctor, but seems to have more interest in doing procedures than in the well-being of his patients. I developed an urgent health problem afterwards, yet was told he could not see me for over a month. He prescribed the wrong RX for my condition according to the endoscope, did not change it, then did not prescribe the antibiotic that would have eliminated the problem, requiring me to make yet another appointment.

Dr Giday went out of his way to schedule my procedure at a early morning time he is not normally at this hospital, then called me at home at 8:30 pm to report the positive results. This gentleman is the best in his field, based, not only on my experience, but the word of others in the medical world.
