My daughter's friend who is a doctor recommended dr. carvajal for a procedure that I had been putting off. My wife finally convinced me to go for it. Dr Carvajal put me at ease and told me what to expect. I had almost no pain after surgery and everything healed up nicely. An added bonus was that he completed the surgery in record time. I have a heart condition and was worried about having a long operation. Thanks Doc.
the doctor was always late and the waits were generally more than one hour from the appointment time for office visits. mine was a scheduled surgery and he was about 2 hours late. the doctor never had enough time to answer my questions and did not explain the risks of surgery to me. i should have done this research before going under the knife with this doctor.
My family and I have had the best experience with Dr. Sam Carvajal and his staff. He is very knowledgable and knows what he is doing, his confidence and sincerity goes a long way! He has treated my mom, and now he is taking care of my daughter. We are blessed!
my mom went through sugery 11 years ago for breast cancer. she last saw him in june 2005 and said she was fine. in november 2005 a doctor in arizona found a spot on the lung it turned out to be cancer that spread she is still battling this thanks to dr carvajal
I waited over an hour to see the doctor and was never told why they were behind. The doctor while very nice only spent 45 seconds with me.
DR. CAME IN DID NOT INTRODUCE HIMSELF, ONLY ASKED FOR "GOOD INSURANCE", HE HADN'T EVEN CHECKED MY FILM OR LAB I BROUGHT IN FROM MY PCP, BUT STATED HE WANTED TO USE A NEW TOOL THAT WAS NOT FDA APPROVED, HE DID NOT MAKE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE, WHEN HE DID CHECK MY FILM, HE SAID OK YOU NEED SURGERY, I HAD TO ASK HIM TO SHOW ME WHAT IT WAS HE WAS LOOKING AT & WHY HE THOUGHT I NEEDED IT, LUCKILY I HAD BROUGHT SOMEONE WITH ME TO THE CONSULTATION,WE DID NOT LIKE HIS BEDSIDE MANNER AND HE DID NOT MAKE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH HIM ENOUG... read more
I have had seen Dr. Carvajal for two different surgeries and both times he was amazing. Most recently I was diagnosed with a rare form of pediatric bone cancer and when all the other Dr's told me it was nothing, a lipoma tumor, he pushed me to take a sample and investigate it further. When I was informed it was cancer he lsisted to my concerns over wanting to be able to have children in the future and finding other ways to treat and cure my cancer beside chemo and radiation. You may read the comments above and know that the "SAME EXACT" canned speeches were used in my family situation. An inoperable condition was pursued by Dr Carvajal for reasons known only to him. This lead to the emminent death of the patient. His total disregard and use of extreme egotistocal drama and fabrications were inexcusable. His lack of presence at the bedside of his patient he was supposed to be responsible for were also inexcusable. This surgeon had very awful bedside manners and didn't offer any help whatsoever. My mother had consulted with this surgeon regarding a suspicious mass in her neck. All he would say was that it was cancer and that it was serious. He stated that if she underwent surgery to remove the mass, she would lose her ability to speak and eat through the mouth.
