2 weeks out from lumbar fusion and I am back working part time--amazing

Dr. Yoon: Has been excellent at every step in the process -- pre op, surgery, and post op. His manner is very pleasant and his explanations are clear. He is responsive to my questions and is clear about the path ahead. I am very pleased with my progress under his care.
Dr. Yoon is not only a brilliant surgeon but a kind and gentle doctor with an excellent bedside manner. He and his staff always made me feel welcome and well taken care of. My surgery went beautifully, and I'm now able to walk and sleep without pain. I am very grateful to Dr. Yoon for restoring me to good health.
I'm 12 weeks post op from L4 and L5 fusion, w/L4 and S1 laminectomy. I was back to work after 3 weeks (desk duty) and after 12 weeks I'm back to all my normal routines with out pain. Still recommended no heavy lifting but that's not a problem, don't want to anyway. My stay at Emory for surgery was amazing as well as the staff. I feel truly blessed to find Dr. Yoon and look forward to life getting back to normal.
I got a second opinion from Dr Yoon and was impressed by his knowledge and compassion. I felt he really wanted the best for me and didn't want to operate just for the sake of operating. I did not get that opinion from the first doctor that I saw. I would recommend him to anyone.
I had been to three[3] other doctors prior to finding Dr Sangwook T. Yoon. The first doctor wanted to do surgery and install a cage using a bone graft from my hip and install plate and rods for this fission a well. I did not like this option. I consulted two other doctors about the fusion but both suggest epidural injections. I had 3 injections with very little relief. Doctor Yoon suggested a Laminectomy at L4/L5 for the nerve pain that ran down my buttocks and legs. This stopped my pain. Myhero
He is friendly and knows exactly what patient needs. Awesome Dr. that I want to refer to everyone who has back issue.
It was so refreshing to work with a physician who listened to my symptoms and concerns. He has a very patient and caring bedside manner. I found him to be thorough and accessible when providing information to me and when answering my questions.
