If there any way to give a negative star that's this place my son just lost his brother had an episode that landed us back in this Dr.'s care then he prescribed medication that can give a child suside thoughts (mind you my oldest just ended his own life which the doctor knew) overall our words were neglected ,and an in and out consultation. I'm currently looking for another provider.
Dr. Mendoza saw my 2 sons when we first moved to Amarillo. It was a horrible experience. The front desk staff were rude, impatient, and truthfully incompetent. Dr. Mendoza himself is a horror to work with. He will put your children on medication meant for adults and then not monitor them. He won't listen to your concerns as a parent. When I called his office to complain that the medicines he had put my son on for ADD and for anxiety were basically making him into a zombie, I was told to give it another month "to kick in". I've been going to Dr. Mendoza for several years. He is a very good psychologist. Very caring. He asks about my family which I this is nice. I would definitely recommend him. Thank you Dr. Mendoza for all you've helped me with.
In 2013 both of my kids were referred to Dr V and we had a horrible experience with the rude office staff and Dr V. We ended up switching care over to our family physician. In late 2023 my youngest started seeing Dr Mendoza over at TPC. The staff there is way way way better. And we love Dr Mendoza. He listens and every time he makes an adjustment in meds he nails it. We will be leaving TPC within the next 6 months or so and if it weren’t for our staff experience 11 years ago we would continue to see him over at his Care Circ... read more
He was awful. He acted like he didn’t understand anything I was saying. I told him my meds weren’t working and he just sarcastically said ‘ok we won’t give you any meds.’ He treated me like a criminal. Do yourself a favor and find someone else, and NEVER EVER send your kids to him.
