I was referred to the Retina Center for a problem of blurry vision in one eye. Dr. Mames diagnosed the situation and recommended a treatment without going to surgery, which was a standard option. The laser treatment improved the condition, and now it’s about a year later, and I am seeing better and am very thankful for Dr. Mames and his approach to treating my retina problem.

I was referred to Dr. Mames by my eye Dr. for a ERM condition. Dr. Mames was able to do a simple procedure in his office that was very successful. And he saved me from a surgery and recovery time and expense.

If you are looking for the best Dr. Mames and his staff are the best. I have been a patient for over three years and would not think of going to any other doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mames for about 4 years now and I HIGHLY recommend him for any eye condition involving the retina. He and his staff are most caring and courteous. They greet me by name, always make a check-up call when I have any invasive treatment. Conditions, treatment and prognosis have always been explained in a way that I could understand easily. Five stars are not high enough, I would easily give them a 10 if I could.

I would like to thank Dr Mames’ staff. The front desk staff were courteous & efficient & gave me an appointment the day after Thanksgiving. Thanks for being open. Problems don’t take holidays. The interior staff were kind & courteously answered all my questions. I was given a full work up for my problem. They were through. I cannot say enough about how they put me at ease. I noticed a cloud in my eye which had previously had cataract surgery. After examining my eye, my ophthalmologist said I needed to see a retina specialist immediately. He got me an appointment with Dr Mames. By the time I got to his office it was late Friday afternoon. Dr Mames and staff stayed late to perform a procedure to correct a detached retina. He was very professional with a very personal demeanor. Most importantly, the procedure worked!! I highly recommend him.
