I don't know how anyone could give this doctor less than 5 stars. He did a colonoscopy and endoscopy on my husband. He has a great bedside manner, he explains things well, he is pleasant and friendly, and we loved the fact that he has so much experience. This is the GI doctor you should be seeing in Austin.
Who am I to judge? I'm a World Trade Center NYC 9/11 First Responder; 2001. The WTC Medical Monitoring Prgm helped me choose Dr Sperling. All I can say is 'I'm still cancer free'. He's a good man & very busy caring for many people! I understand him. I'd recommend Dr Sperling GI. I'm still here. I'll give'm 5 stars. Thanks Dr Sperling. Grace & Gratitude for ALL
Dr. Sperling does not provide adequate follow up and patient communication. His staff is combative and always claims to be too busy to handle inquiries even for patients with chronic issues. He is knowledgeable but if you are seeking a team that really cares about you, look elsewhere.
Dr. Sperling did an awesome job with my medical issues. I have been battling stomach issues for 15 years. I tried several doctors with no results. Since I have being his patient, my stomach issues has reduced tremendously as well as other issues (esophagus and colon). What a major difference he has made for my health. Dr Sperling brought along an out of network anesthesiologist without mention anything about him being out of network. Several months later I'm still fighting with his billing department.

Dr. Sperling has been my gastroenterologist for almost 2 decades, and I believe I'm getting the best possible care. He has been helpful, knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient during every office visit and clinical procedure. He has also been helpful in explaining the division of work and responsibility between his office and my family doctor. He has been open to questions and has consistently recommended cost-effective and appropriate treatments and techniques. I recommend him without hesita
I would recommend Dr. Sperling to anyone who needed his expertise. He has an excellent "bedside" manner and he was determined to find what was causing my problem.
