Dr. Kootman is an excellent Ophthalmology provider and surgeon. Very thorough and will answer any and all questions asked of him. I have ha two cornea transplants and could not be happier with the results. Crystal clear vision restored. Than you very much Dr. Kootman. I went to Dr Kootman to correct a fast forming cataract in my right eye because another Dr refused the surgery. Dr. Kootman performed laser surgery soon after. I healed quickly with excellent eyesite restored. It was hoped that my bad left eye would not need surgery for a yr or two. Unfortunately, 5 months later, I developed a fast forming cataract. Dr Kootman to the rescue again, got me in quickly, researched my specific eye problem, performed surgery & excellent results again. He is super.
Dr Kootman performed eye surgery on both my eyes to correct an illness known as "map-dot" which was very painful. I am now pain free and very grateful for his expertise and professionalism. Thank you Doctor!!!
I was very happy with my treatment by Dr. Kootman and his staff. They gave me all the information I needed regarding my procedure and provided all the follow-up care I needed.
I have used Dr. Kootman for two cataract surgeries and been extremely happy with the results. I would recommend him to everyone.
Going in for Eye Surgery was very scary. And I went in for both eyes. Dr Kootman has a wonderful bedside manner. His staff follows his lead in this area. They all great you with a smile and are very attentive to your needs and questions. I was informed very well in all areas by himself and all of his wonderful staff, which helped me in the process. My recovery has been great. Thank you Dr Kootman for your "steady hand" and expertise in this area.
Very fist visit, referred to Dr. Kootman by an Arrowhead ER Physician. Worst experience with the front Office. Walked out and have no plans to ever return to this office. Never got to see Dr Kootman due his front office staff. The snobby woman at the front desk never acknowledged me when I walked in. wouldn't even look at me when she was asking for my ID and insurance card. I felt like an inconvenience not a patient. I would not recommend this provider.
If I could give zero stars, I would. The doctor has no respect for patients' time. He made me wait for an hour after my appointment time to see me, then he told me he doesn't do contact fittings or eye glass exams at the Scottsdale office. I made an appointment for exactly those 2 things at the Scottsdale office with Dr Kootman. He shouldn't have accepted the appointment.
I went to him because he was covered by my insurance. He was great with helping me with my dry eyes but in regards to glasses I was given the wrong prescription. I had moved here and my old dr said I had astigmatism and they said I did not. I got new insurance and the dr I just saw told me I did have astigmatism in my eye. I have lived with bad glasses because it can only be done once a year.
