$1800 fee is peanuts in the long run I could not help but notice the comment below (one of the rare negative ones) about Dr. Lee choosing to belong to MDVIP which charges $1800 a year. What a TINY price to pay to receive the value of an in depth, comprehensive conversation and learning session. I flew to California from Alaska to see Dr. Lee after a recommendation from my parents. Richard D. Lee I select Richard Lee as as family doctor from a list. What it is terrible is that he would let a new patient to wait for over a month. Even if you beg him, he would not change mind. Now he is asking for $1800 a year member fee in addition to insurance. How greedy is such a doctor. I am sick and need to see doctor. If I switch a doctor right now, I will have to wait for over half a month for the new doctor to be effective according to the insurance policy. he is the god Dr Lee is an excellent doctor and a very good person. I have never seen a doctor who is outstandingly knowledgeable, thorough, sharp and empathetic. He knew the blood test results even before they were done based on the patients symptoms. He will not rush you like other doctors. He explains the whole theory behind his judgement and convinces the patient rather than giving some standard drugs that most of the doctors do.

Thank God I found him! Won't go to anyone else!! I started seeing Dr. Lee about 2 years ago on the recommendation of a colleague. I have had a history of unlikely symptoms for my young age, and have had absolutely no help from any doctors I've seen at Stanford, PAMF, or Kaiser. Dr. Lee was the first to take a look at my life history and finally give me some answers. The Best in Healthcare Dr. Lee has been my personal care physician since 2000. He was realigned my expectations of health care by being attentive and non-alarming. He always seems to know exactly what the problem is even before the test results. This saves me a lot of money and grief and it is nice to know that he can fix or quickly refer any problem I have. He's awesome!
Highly Recommend I was a patient of Dr. Lee for 12 years, first while he was at Stanford and then in private practice. When I moved from the peninsula up to San Francisco and then to Berkeley I continued to commute to see Dr. Lee. economics over patient's health My 79 yr old father followed Dr Lee from Stanford Hospital to his private practice when the doctor started his own business. When Dr Lee joined a program that required an $1800 annual fee, my father had to find a new doctor. It took him a bit longer to do so given his insuarance situation. Unwanted solicitations In spite of multiple calls to both Dr Lee's office and his direct mail service (MDVIP), I continue to receive unwanted mail solicitations. Jennifer at MDVIP tells me that they got my name and address from Dr. Lee. Since I never have been a patient of Dr Lee (and certainly don't plan to become one), I can only surmise that he got my personal information from some other source, perhaps a previous employer.
