My mother (73) and on Medicare missed a step at a local theatre and had a brain bleed due to hitting her head on the tile wall. She spent ~ 6 weeks in the hospital, having 2 different brain surgeries. Dr. Lochhead was highly recommended by a nurse that is also a friend. He clearly explained everything before and after each surgery, putting our family at ease. My mother has fully recovered.

I was told like many of his other patients to seek a second opinion and he even gave me a name of another doc. I took my friend with me and she was mad when we left. It's funny how when they find out you may not have insurance how different you are treated. His office ran my blue cross federal incorrect so it didn't show up Dumb. I called blue cross and I'm still active. I feel I was dismissed cause hes not confident in himself

Unfortunately I have never left an office after seeing a doctor so devastated and in tears because of the way I was treated. Thank goodness for 2nd opinions. He was not very nice at all and no sympathy for my pain just bluntly not able to help me and I feel it was due to losing my job and being on medicaid.

When it comes down to it, he doesn't care. I may not have cancer but I do have pain. I don't think he felt confident enough to perform my surgery so he instead he basically said just deal with it. He never said the words inoperable, just told me to go get another opinion. My symptoms are migraines and he offered no hope other than go back to your nuerologist. Very discouraging.
