Scheduling an appointment and working with Dr. Bernardo’s MA Emma is awesome, but other than that, I highly advise looking for a different provider. First red flag was not sending the request to complete my blood work on time. I get it, it’s possible to be busy and forget one small thing here and there. I have had Dr. Bernardo for several years at Kaiser. Over the years I have had various issues of concern, and every time I have made an appointment I feel like the appointments are rushed, and I feel like he doesn't take any of my concerns seriously. My partner was also seeing him and had a terrible experience. He has been having sinus issues for a couple years, and the Dr. only prescribed him fluticasone for it. When I was first assigned Dr Bernardo by Kaiser when my Dr left I was concerned that he might not be a good Dr. The first year everything was great then slowly it declined after I was in the ER for severe abdominal pain multiple times last year and frequent visits with him for UTI symptoms, he has stopped listening to my concerns and I believe he has labeled me as an anxious hypochondriac post menopausal women. I was a patient with Dr. Bernardo for many years and switched recently. His refusal to listen or treat my minor health issues, as well as prescribing medication unrelated to my issues, led to me self-medicating and developing a dependency on Oxymetazoline. When I reached out to seek help weening off of Oxymetazoline (very common process for family doctors), Dr. Bernardo refused to assist me, telling me 'you just have to wait it out'. I am very pleased with Dr Bernardo. Very sorry he left the Bloomingdale practice. Do we know where he went as I would like to stay with him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bernardo for 4 years now. I chanced upon this site as I was looking for the office address. I disagree with what one of the reviewers posted here. That reviewer posted 2 negatives, and its obvious only one person wrote it. Dr. Bernardo is one of the kindest doctor's I know. He listens and spends time with me. He sometimes get behind as he does it to all his patients. My family also goes to him also. And he doesn't practice in USF. It shows how these reviews are so biased here.

It was a pleasant doctor's visit. He spent time listening to my symptoms and discussed the diagnosis. It didn't felt rushed at all.
