I've been seeing Dr Satoskar as long as I can remember (saw her at a previous practice and followed her when she opened her own). Extremely capable and professional, thorough, friendly and understanding, and I completely trust her judgement. Office personnel I've encountered (many) have always been very nice and helpful also. She is extremely in demand so I understand the comments about it being difficult to get a response occasionally, but that hasn't been the norm for me, but the exception. If you want one of the best derm... read more

The doc was great but the location is massively over-booked.

Excellent office, excellent service. I have the same opinion about Dr. Sam! I moved from No. Va to the Richmond suburbs, and I still drive to Fairfax for appointments twice annually.

I was most impressed with Dr. Satoskar and the service I received during a recent appointment. Her office staff was uniformly pleasant and helpful. There was very little wait time before I was taken to the exam room and a very reasonable amount in the exam room. Dr. Satoskar took quite a bit of time discussing my history, performing a full-body skin exam, and performing a biopsy of two suspicious sites. I have full confidence in her abilities and medical knowledge.

I've gone to Dr. Satoskar since she took over the practice from my previous doctor about 18 months ago. While the new offices are great and the care is probably fine, the office is incredibly difficult to work with, doesn't return phone calls or follow up and on average requires 10 calls to get one thing accomplished. After 3 months of failed light therapy for psoriasis and increasing burning on other parts of my body, I was never told to stop the treatment. I'm now shopping for a new doctor.

Used to see Dr. Horn; Dr. Satoskar was in his office while he was on sabbatical. ("Sabbatical" is like your parents telling you that your dog was taken to a farm.) Dr. S diagnosed rosacea, and prescribed a $$ cream. When asked for a cheaper Rx, she said I was a poster child for this new cream. It took me two trips to the pharmacy and 2/ 3 calls to her office to actually get the Rx sent to pharmacy. Called for an appointment today, & hung up after holding for 10 mins. Will look 4 better ofc.

I had to wait an hour and a half before.seeing the doctor. However, her nurse was very pleasant, apologetic, and listened to my complaint. The doctor apologized and said that they were trying to solve the problem and had new office staff. I was also disappointed that there was a misunderstanding in why I scheduled the appointment. Dr. Satoskar obliged me with a partial exam. I didn't think that I would be returning, but I was pleased with her exam and her demeanor, and I will give see her again.

I had an 11:00 appointment . Waited for a 1/2 hour to get in to an examining room where I sat for another 15 minutes before being told she wouldn't get to me for another 10 or 15 minutes. I got dressed and walked out. The staff was very embarrassed. I made sure the folks in the waiting room knew what I had experienced. She bought the practice of Martin Horn who ran a very successful and on-time operation for the 25+ years I went to him. He'd be embarrassed too.
