Dr Patel is brilliant and an outstanding surgeon. He spent plenty of time with me to explain my spinal surgery and results were successful.He is genuinely a nice person with a ready smile. I highly recommend him!
Dr Patel did 2 days of back surgery on me in 2023 I had complete success no more pain and walking straight again golfing and enjoying life
He explain what was going to happen with the surgery. This was a revision of my prior surgery that never helped me. Even right after the surgery he preformed, I felt so much better. His whole practice was very helpful for me. They kept my primary care physician informed every step of the way.
Has made me jump through hoops for months, while being nothing but condescending and rude. Writes notes on my patient file, that are not even what was said in the appointment, it feels like he is covering his own butt. Refuses to listen to me about MY pain and just dismisses me. I have dealt with the same back pain issues for the last 10 to 12 years with multiple health issues on top of it. I went to see Doctor Patel after 3 previous lumbar fusions over the previous 3 years with no relief. He performed surgery 12 weeks ago and I am back to normal now. I would highly recommend Doctor Patel.

I had an indirect spinal fusion operation. Everything went well. The U of M staff was polite and efficient in both pre operation and post operation. The operation resolved my issue with no complications.
Before my operation, pain prevented me from walking or standing for more than few minutes at a time. Within a few weeks after the operation, I was walking for 30 minutes with no problem. Dr. Patel and his team were very patient with answering my many questions, explaining what was going on with my spine, and what they would do to correct things during the operation.
