Being new to this area of Marlton I looked through some dentists online and found Dr Raquel Johnson... the staff was nice and proceeded to work on my 6 year old son who has some teeth problems. I wanted the doctor to talk to my son about a binky that I feel is affecting his teeth, maybe she could convince him its hurting him and it's not good for him, thought she wearing a white coat would make an impact on him I'm sure she would have however... We just started going to Dr. Johnson 6 months ago. She is awesome. My son had to have his 2 front teeth removed bc his adult teeth were chipped. She explained everything to what is going to happen am what needs to be done. Yes she is very verbal but stern about what needs to be done.
First and foremost she was an hour & 20mins late to the appointment. We had a special needs person who is nonverbal, doesn't understand much. and wasn't compliment to keeping the bib or goggles on. Soon as the doctor walked into the office she was very rude to her staff and snapped at her for not having the bib on. When I tried to explain that the patient doesn't like to keep it on she then snapped on me saying "let me do my job and tell my staff how to do theirs" in a very aggressive tone. Staff is great unfortunately i cant say the same for the doctor she is so unprofessional not only with us the parents of her patient but also her staff no wonder i see new staff everytime i go there. Never come to this office you cant even go to the room with your young child who is scared and she probably traumatizes them more. This is why most children are scared of the dentist!!
My 7 year old daughter needed several procedures done and I was frantic. However, after she received her first procedure of getting a tooth extracted I felt more at ease. The staff was patient and very comforting to both of us. Dr. Johnson is a knowledgable and very professional dentist. She even called the same evening of her procedure to check on her. My son has been a patient of Dr. Johnson since he was 2 years old; and he now 12. We continue to drive nearly an hour to go to Dr. Johnson. Simply put, she is an amazing person and dentist. She is extremely knowledgable and professional. I was so shocked by the comments, I felt the need to post a review. Your children will be in great hands with Dr. Johnson. This doctor is very rude and unprofessional. She is not only rude to her staff but also to patients. She was a hour late to the office on our last visit, and yelled at a tech for not getting a bill signed by a patient. She did this in front of me. Regardless of her bad reviews I knew that she did excellent work and wanted to give her a chance.
