My wife was referred to Dr. Mattar for a workers' comp. Pain Management medical assistance. The doctor indicated he could provide no help for her herniated disk and sciatica problems at his location in Lakewood yet did not offer any help at any other location. My wife is barely able to walk and in excruciating pain, yet the doctor was to prescribe some medical RX to help alleviate her pain. RX was not processed by him or his office which we contacted every day for 4 days and still no assist or care. What an uncaring foolish ... read more

For the past year, I have been having right hip pain. I attributed it to aging. I went to see Dr Mattar, while he was examining me, he "hit the spot" very painful. He stated it was my bursa. He recommended that he do an injection into my bursa. After having the injection, I no longer have ANY pain. It's been a week and STILL no pain. I'm able to bend and put my shoes on again without being in pain. I'm walking again without cringing in pain. Go see Dr Mattar for help, he worked wonders for me! I can't thank him enough!

I came to Dr. Mattar suffering from chronic neck pain, and severe headaches. I have struggled on and off with pain my entire life so I didn’t have high expeditions. BEST DOCTOR EVER! If you have pain and need relief, this is the doctor you NEED to see. He genuinely cares about his patients and has only their best interest in mind. Its a busy office because he is so good and so popular!

My right shoulder needed surgery due to a tear from bench pressing. For three years I was in horrible pain. I went to doctor raafat and he advised me to do the PRP procedure. I received two treatments of PRP from Dr. Raafat. The whole process took about three months and I felt like a new man my shoulder was pain free. I have been seeing Dr. Mattar for 5+ years now. He has always been open and thourough with my exams and explanations. He has kept my pain levels low and my sanity intact. He will listen to your concerns and problems. If you follow is medical expertice, he makes sure you are taken care of. If your just looking for a doctor who writes pain scripts blindly, look elsewhere. He can spot patients like these asap. Very professional and would highly recommend seeking his services.

I first went to Dr Mattar for Pain Management for Back Pain. I was very pleased that he took his time gathering data and talking with me before coming up with a game plan, and when I first heard that he was going to reduce my pain meds in exchange for something else, I nearly walked out. But I stayed and tried out the plan Dr. Mattar had. I have to say that i have the least pain than I have had all year long and I am on a fourth of the narcotics I was on. I am feeling pretty great!
