I'd like to cancel my appointment for an MRI on January 17 at 2:30 I've changed my mind. I need some relief now plus I can not travel in my vehicle anymore nor do I have transportation, thank you.
This guy moved from Tucson Community Physicians to TMC-1 and his staff doesn't seem to miss a beat. They are straightforward genuinely friendly and sharp. So is Dr Smith. I was completely terrified of being unconscious and sliced open, but he took all of my terror, fed me good doses of reality, and made me happy, grateful and tickled pink to be able to walk (to keep moving!) once more. If my wife ever needs knee replacement surgery she will insist on going to him with no second thoughts. And I won't even try to stop her.
This is my HERO. After 13 years of osteoarthritis in my left hip. I found this Angel. I am walking,running,and able to enjoy my life pain free. This is the best DR. So attentive and explains the procedure the whole way thru. Thank you Dr.Smith. ???Tracey Meyer
Tells me he has bulging disc himself and he is not able to help my knee pain . He acted as though he had been in the same type of accident and that he is in my body and should know better than what I am feeling . Yet my MRI SHOWED issues that would be reasons for My pain otherwise and he compared it to their xray which he reads . I did not know he was also a radiologist .
I was having a conversation with my mother about her visit with Dr Smith. She mentioned he was very attentive and answered all her questions with patience and kindness. She was so happy and comfortable with him.

Can't comment on his surgical skills since I don't need knee or hip surgery. As a (general) physician his "skills" are completely lacking. He said he would make a referral for a MRI. He didn't; he didn't again when I called; he did on the second call but it took a week to do so. When the MRI came back, I got a copy of the results and read them. Indicated that hip and knee were almost normal, but spine had one moderate and 2 minor issues. Waited 3 days. He didn't call, so I called his office. Waited 3 more days. He called. To... read more
I would give zero stars if I could. His staff will NOT return phone calls. Even after two weeks of leaving messages, I have never received a return phone call. I was referred to him, yet have yet to even get an appointment. I need surgery for a complete rotator cuff tendon tear, yet after 2 weeks, still haven't received a call or appointment, let alone surgery. Don't waste your time. The staff clearly doesn't care.
At 86 I was hit by a car and suffered a broken hip. March 20, 2017 I was transported to St. Joseph's that afternoon and had surgery that night and walking in the morning. 18 days in Rehad - Sabino Canyon. I would and HAVE recommended Dr. Smith when possible.
