Squamous Cell Carcinoma: First visit, Dr R comes in, ignores my wife, never introduces himself, and cracks a joke about 'not needing to ask what the problem is, I can see it'; took three pictures and told me to make a second app't.. No effort to try and get me back earlier than 4 plus weeks to have the large, ugly growth removed. had surgery on my eyelids, and I kept going back to talk with the doctor about some post-surgery problems and he was always too busy and never quite listened and now he has left the practice and I’m stuck with problems. I just would not recommend him because I don’t think he cared enough about me as his patient… I’m disappointed

I had consultations with three other ocular plastic surgeons regarding lower lid laxity that caused my right eye to be unable to close. This caused severe dryness and made my eye look off. I had had a lower Bleph years ago that may have caused this problem. No one wanted to treat my eye issue. It was complicated and I was told I would just have to live with it. I have just had eye lid surgery performed by Dr. Peter Rubin and I could not have been more satisfied. He combines a warm, personal approach with his expertise, developed over years. Although I only had this brief interaction with him I would recommend him so highly. It is a blessing to encounter a doctor who is so skilled and so genuinely gracious. 

I highly recommend Dr Rubin for Eye surgery

Dr Rubin is great! I highly recommend him. I lost my eye due to a gunshot. Dr Rubin worked with me for months to get everything right, review the cat scan and we had planned for two surgeries. One was to remove my eye & clean out everything. The second would be to remove scar tissue and fix my lower eyelid. During a single surgery Dr Rubin was able to take care of both. After things healed I got a new prosthetic eye and everything looks great ?? just like my original eye and it is very hard to tell one of my eyes is not real... read more

I was disfigured. I don't look anymore like me. Worse than before the surgery. Stay away from this doctor. Nice, but a menace!

It is a pleasure to recommend Dr. Rubin to anyone seeking to improve their eye zone or correct a problem requiring eye surgery. My mother had tear duct surgery in addition to tightening her lids: 2 different procedures not usually done simultaneously. Not only did he save her time, but corrected her issue when she was formerly told by another surgeon that it was difficult to treat. She looks phenomenal now and has had no complaints since.
