This is not the place to take your children to. At first it seemed like the staff was warm and confident as of 2017, but something changed. The personnel and nurse practitioner is rude with as well as the front desk. My son has special needs and they would not make time for him. My baby sees lots of physicians and has a good team, and this place..do not take your child to. They do not go the extra mile.
Do not...I repeat DO NOT go to this practice. A couple of years ago, I took my son to this dr to have some tests run. I paid out of pocket and was assured by Dr. Bernard that we would not incur any additional charges. Fast forward a few months later, I received a bill. I called and spoke with someone and they said that the charges would be removed. I received 3 more bills and each time I called they said it would be removed. Just received a final bill. They said we had to pay. These people lie!
Worst Specialist office I have ever been to. Made my Daughter appointment in June for September, insurance information is provided on 1st call, which is not a problem that's normal practice, you get an email reminding you of your appointment several times including text messages. But it's impossible for someone at the office to call you in advance to tell you they expect payment before seeing the doctor. Not a $35 co-payment but $250,when you offer to pay half. No you can reschedule.
Dr Bernard lacks knowledge to diagnose anything beyond a best guess. He and his staff do not let patients know they are way behind schedule and let you sit waiting for over an hour. His front desk clerk is rude and ignores you when you want in. Worse thing is after waiting over an hour to see him you can’t walk out because they pre-collect payment before you see the so called dr.
met Dr Bernard recently, great bedside manner, very professional.
I've no doubt Dr. Bernard is good, but his office staff leaves much to be desired. After seeing dr & told we needed bloodwork drawn, we were left waiting for 40 minutes! The time spent in anticipation caused my kid anxiety. When nurse came to draw blood, she told me to hold down my kid & mocked him for being "chicken". It was SO unprofessional. She then questioned my ability as a mom for not being "stronger" (kid is bigger than me). This nasty woman shouldn't be working w/ children.
Before Dr. Bernard, my son went to two other endocrinologists. We never experienced a level of care or concern by the other doctors. We were pushed aside and made to feel like we were overreacting. Dr. Bernard listened to us and acted on our intuition regarding our son's growth. My son did have a problem producing growth hormone and we nearly caught this too late. The best decision we made as parents is making an appointment with Dr. Bernard. He and his staff are caring, efficient and competen
Dr Bernard is an excellent doctor , takes time in listening to our concerns and answers every question in great detail. Staff in the office are friendly and well maintained space.
Dr Bernard is simply amazing. He takes time to listen to my son and has helped us to manage this disease. He has a great rapport with kids. He is thoughtful, honest and straightforward with my child. At our first appointment he told us he would show us how to live with diabetes and he has done exactly that. My child has been feeling great and has been able to participate in all desired activities. We are blessed to have such a great doctor in our area.
