I had a great experience at my first appointment with Dr. Popa. I recently switched to his office from Diana Health (Dr. Ramsey). I liked Dr. Ramsey, but the Diana Health takeover at HCA has been a complete mess. Dr. Popa was on time, and I waited about 5 minutes before being taken back, and about 10 minutes before being seen by him. He spent about 20-25 minutes with me one-on-one to answer questions and discuss any concerns/medical history. I enjoyed my first few visits with Dr.Popa until my last visit at 15 weeks where he casually mentioned I had a fibroid, his words were “we discussed our fibroid right?”, no other information given and NO he did not mention a fibroid at any of my previous visits. I had surgery in June for the removal of my left fallopian tube & ovary and was diagnosed with stage 4 Endometriosis and had questions/concerns regarding the so called fibroid. I switched to Dr. Popa midway through my last pregnancy due to not being heard or feeling seen at my previous OB and he took me in and cared for me 1/1. He was there to deliver my baby and always listens to how I am feeling. He also did my tubal removal and I have never had any issues with his office. Absolutely love them all!
I absolutely love Dr. Popa! He is wonderful and considerate. Answers all your questions and has great bedside manner! Would highly, highly recommend to anyone expecting a baby!!
You can tell he cares. After having a bad experience at another Women's Care Facility, I went on the hunt for a new provider in Tallahassee. Dr Popa is kind, and as someone else mentioned you can tell he truly cares. He doesn't rush and answers any questions you have in a way you can understand. It's such a plus to have a doctor who does labs in house. I will continue to schedule with Dr. Popa for all my future needs.
