My initial consultation was rushed, did not include a review of relevant history nor any inquiry into my current situation and how having to conform to his strict, unrealistic requirements and condescending attitide (He's 36!) Left a bad taste in my mouth. Had Spinal Fusion surgery with Spina when post-op remained plus new symptoms every XRay, MRI and CT Scan come back with results. When I inquired about specific "mild bulge" his reply was "I'd hardly call that a bulge" Ultimately my own Insurance Company told me to get a second opinion because results show I clearly have issues that Spina is ignoring. In fact, Insurance sent him the same documents and he denied ever getting them stating what he sees is different than what I see.

I was referred to Dr. Spina by one of his colleagues at the UW Hip & Knee Center. My experience was positive from beginning to end. I can't say enough good things about UW Medicine and, especially, Dr. Spina.
