I like that Dr. Lentine runs tests from specialty labs. But, she charges a hefty "interpretation fee". Which is BS, because the labs provide the interpretations. Otherwise, I think she is caring, and open to patients suggestions. She really listens, although I think that she is way too busy. That's the problem with a complimentary doctor that takes insurance. There aren't many around. They did not "push" suppliments on me at all. It was suggested that I take certain supplements, and told that I could purchase them from their... read more
Love this doctor. She was the only one who could help with my perimenapause symptoms. My OB just ignored them and told me I was "too young" to worry about it. Yes, I pay a few hundred dollars a month in supplements, but I feel 100% back to normal, which is worth it for you and your family. I feel that she really listened to my symptoms and took the time required to find the correct balance of supplements for my individual needs. If you go to a DO, remember, it's not a race, it's a marathon, DO's are not into the quick fix. T... read more
Cold, calculating, money hungry. Staff can be nice at times, but gossiping with each other at other times. Space is too small for her grand dreams. Puts on a nice act, but can be as cold and cutting as the worst doctor. Did I say money hungry? Always trying to make money off of people. That would be money hungry, no?
She's awesome. I take my daughter to her but have my own PCP....only a matter of time before I switch though. For those who complain about the supplements you should not get involved with a DO or any kind of preventative medicine.....wait until you're sick then go to a pharmacist, drug store or MD. If however you care about your body, longivity...health.... welnesss and so on then she is the one for you. She would never recommend a supplement/ drug unless she was sure it's appropriate for u. She cares for the body as a whole... read more
She is a nice doctor and very thorough. She does suggest vitamins but I always decline with no problems. She is always willing to listen to concerns and offer advice. I can also get in the same day if I'm sick, even on a Saturday!
She's great. She's a bit busy, but I never wait long. I have sent other family members to her. She does not oversell products. She diagnosed me with a thyroid issue that I could NEVER get anyone else to help me with!
I agree with the majority of other posts that every time I am in her office she tries to sell me vitamins and herbs. Vitamins and herbs are not the cure for everything. She does rec'd that the ones in her office are the best and told me to stop using the brands I currently use. She is running a retail store in her office which is definetly a conflict of interest.
I use her vitamins and supplements, but sometimes I buy at the Drug store. She is a D.O. so "OF COURSE" she recommends vitamins and supplements. DO's bring something extra to the table that MD's do not. DO's practice a "whole person" approach to medicine. Instead of just treating specific symptoms or illnesses with prescriptions, they regard your body as whole. Although they do write scripts when necessary, DO's focus on "preventive health care." Thus, the vitamins and supplements for your immune health. Dr. Lentine will "su... read more
I had to switch my primary care doctor because every time I was there for a sick visit she tried to sell me very expensive herbal supplements. I bought echinacia although I don't usually use these supplements, but when you are not feeling well and after waiting for so long in the office you are not thinking very clearly. I did take the echinacia and it irritated my stomach.
