I have been going to Dr. Akhter for many years. She has delivered three of my children. She is kind and compassionate but most importantly an amazing doctor. I trust her knowledge and expertise so much that I now have my daughter seeing her. I always feel that she has our best interest in mind and cares so much about our health and well being. She is truly amazing!!
I have been going to Dr. Akhter for over 20 years for annual exams. She is very professional and shows much concern for her patients. She also delivered 5 of my nieces and nephews!

I have been going to Dr. Akhter for many years, and highly recommend her. She is a top-notch physician on several levels: First, her range of expertise is huge, from routine care to complex surgery. She is a seasoned physician, with decades of experience to draw upon, and she keeps up with new developments in the field. Second, Dr. Akhter is very personable and genuinely caring. She remembers her patients and their issues and has a calm, confident approach. She is one of the very best.
I was with my previous Dr for over 35 years and was told they will no longer be taking my HMO insurance. Truly devastating. My insurance gave me Dr Akhter's name. I wish I would have found her 35 years ago. I didn't realize what I had been missing with my other Dr until my visit with Dr Akhter. Dr Akhter literally listened to all of my concerns and set my fears at ease. Did I mention my daughter was also lucky enough to be a patient of Dr Akhter. Im now thankful that my Dr refused my HMO.
It has taken me several years to find a obgyn/surgeon like Doctor Akhter. I finally found a doctor who listened to my concerns and helped me come up with the best solutions to improve my quality of life. Doctor Akhter takes her time and shows the upmost care and professionalism.
Dr. Akhter was an outstanding OBGYN in every way possible. I had a very complicated, high risk delivery, and she was by my side the whole time. She explained everything that was happening with compassion and patience. She treated my whole family with respect. I am so grateful that I have a healthy baby boy because of her expert care.
Dr. Akhter and her staff went above and beyond - whether it was working persistently with my insurance company to obtain all the necessary approvals or investing extra time to do the type of surgery that would provide the best/easiest recovery for me. I was in good hands through the whole process. Dr. Akhter and everyone else I encountered in the office are all compassionate and caring.
I felt blessed to have such a great doctor taking care of me. Dr. Akhter did amazing job with my surgery. My recovery was outstanding; up and around the same day. I felt blessed to have such a great doctor taking care of me. She is truly remarkable doctor and professional that I respect and trust. She took time to listen and to make me feel valued and respected, treated as I would want to be treated. She never seemed to be in a hurry.
