I have been a patient of Dr. Akhter for nearly 30 years. She is and has always been very professional. I have never felt rushed during my visits. She has a vast knowledge of her field and presents information in an easily understandable manner. Additionally, her staff is friendly.
I can't thank Dr. Akhter enough for delivering my little girls. She was attentive to my health concerns, caring, and supportive during all of my pregnancies. She preformed my c-sections and made sure I was healthy afterwards, mentally and physically. My husband and I are so happy with her, and recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate and expert OBGYN.
Dr. Akhter absolutely failed me as a first time mother who was in labor. She rushed me and kept threatening me with a c-section not even 2 hours into labor! She was not only lacking completely in any bedside manner, she was very unqualified as well. She only stayed with me for maybe 5 minutes and then said that if I don’t push then she will do a c section. It was the most horrible experience of my life. Dr. Naheed Akhter is a blessing, an expert and her diagnosis has been so accurate that I never had to consider second-opinion. She pin-points the problem going on and exactly knows how to treat it. Dr. discovered a lemon-size fibroid tumor in my uterus and that I needed to have a hysterectomy. I also was fortunate that Dr. Akhter has been doing this surgery robotically since 2008. I have been her patient for years and trusted her completely. She gave me a YouTube video link to watch a surgery with the physician narrating what he was doing.
