Service was excellent waiting for appointment for valve repair family getting anxious so am I .
My husband had a hole in the heart closed by Dr Ahmed in the past. This time we did our follow up at UAB West Hospital. We live in Tuscaloosa. The hospital is much easier to get in and out of then downtown, there is less congestion and traffic and a better experience for patients. It is also much closer to where we live and much more convenient Is. Lots of outpatient they like 80 years old.
We saw Dr. Ahmed and the team at UAB West. This is a fantastic facility that allowed us to avoid having to go downtown. We really do not like going downtown because The traffic, the parking, we are old, and we live two hours away. This makes a lot easier. We wish we could get the valve done here. These things matter as you get older.
My brother had a dangerous blockage in the main artery to his heart that other doctors said would require bypass surgery. He later met with Dr Ahmed who said a stent was possible to repair the problem. My brother felt comfortable after meeting with Dr Ahmed who later did perform a successful stent procedure. My brother was up and around and feeling much better the next day! Dr Ahmed is an amazing doctor and I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation
