Dr. Ahmed and his staff are ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! My 79 year old mom had a Mitral Valve Clip placed in early 2024. She had a large leakage from the valve before the procedure, she had very little energy, almost no stamina at all, and was very pale. My wife went in recently with a heart attack and stroke and Dr Ahmed and the team at UAB saved her life. They fixed the Heart and the stroke. Everyone was amazing Dr Salama, the practitioners Jessica and Jessica and everyone!!
I just had a stent placed in my heart that was 95-99% blocked. The doctor did an excellent job and saved my life.
My mother had an alcohol septal ablation 2 years ago with Dr Ahmed this was an operation for thick heart muscle she was in the hospital for a few days. It’s been a life changing thing. She is now off oxygen. Increased energy, can walk further and things are so much better and she’s exercising. They initially wanted to do open heart but Dr Ahmed was able to do keyhole and the recovery was fast.
When I first came to UAB to see Dr Ahmed and his team with the leaky mitral valve that I had I could barely walk from the bedroom to the restroom or the mailbox and had no good quality of life and could not even go to work properly.
