We went to see Dr Ahmed UAB to have my dad aortic valve fixed. He had severely quality of life limiting symptoms, which was really limiting him. There was a study available which we were able to be part of which let him have the valve earlier than what most people would. There was a big improvement and his quality of life afterwards.
My father is doing fantastic after his operation with Dr Ahmed. He's able to take less medicine, like having a new lease on life!
My husband sees Dr Ahmed. He's doing great after his operation!
I had kidney failure for five years and wanted to get a kidney transplant, but then it was found that my heart valve was severely leaky and that needed to be fixed before I could be considered for transplant. Dr Ahmed and the team at UAB were able to go through the leg and fix the valve and get rid of the leak which then made it possible to have the Transplant which I subsequently had. This has been life-changing as I was able to get off dialysis!
My Mother’s Doc was extremely helpful and very informative about the procedure she had done at the main UAB. But my follow-up was at the West UAB 6th floor Cardiologist Admed thanks
