My son is 13 and Paragas has cared for him since birth. Absolutely phenomenal and top notch.
Incompetence is the keyword. I put so much trust in the people who take care of my children. However, this doctor does not have any compassion or competence in the medical field. The staff members deserve a better doctor to work for. The other doctor who works there, Dr. Jennifer Vidal, is a godsend and without her, I would never even consider going to see Arlington Pediatrics. It's a great location, but beware of the troll that lives under the bridge. I would never put the lives of my children in her hands ever again.
She has been my boys' pediatrician since they were born. As a new mom, I was very cautious and probably watching them handling my babies like a hawk! It's understandable I was very protective. They all passed my standards. They did a good job. Now my kids are 2 years plus and we still going there. The relationship and trust of course grew stronger now. Location wise is also great. She is my favorite doctor to go to for my children. Very fast ant knows what she does. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.
When my son was sick she was extremely frazzled and her exact words were " I don't know what's wrong with him, you should take him to the hospital for blood work and a prognosis". When my son was hospitalized she only came to the hospital once. She never seems to know what is going on with my son's diagnosis or treatment and was always asking me the status of his test results. There are reasons why we're allowed to choose our doctors. Dr. Paragas, for one, is an incompetent doctor. Her diagnoses are always either allergies or some respiratory problem which only shows she lacks any compassion and care to her work as a medical professional. Her staff is helpful-probably more helpful than she will ever be. She's always rushing, and has terrible bedside etiquette. Just as the other person I'm surprised with all the bad reviews...dr paragas is such a great doctor!!! Both of my kids been going there since they were born and she always been great never had any problems with her and her staff are very friendly. She always has an appt whenever I need one specially if is important they would always squeeze me in...love everything about her practice!
I read some of the reviews below and was really surprised by them. I have never had a negative experience with Dr. Paragus. She is kind, knowledgable, polite and respectful. When I first had my daughter I was a nervous first time parent and I bought her in every other week at one point for various things and she never made me feel silly. We haven't had to wait more than 5 minutes on well visit days. Sick visits are definitley a much longer wait, but still better than any of my doctors.
I would never recommend any parent to bring their child to this "doctor". She rushes when your in the room with her and shows no compassion at all. I called all day leaving messages for her to call me back because my child had a fever and when she finally did -- the office was closed and told me she was busy and if i felt it was that much of an emergency to take my child to the ER. Never again. Incompetant.
