Hands down the best foot surgeon in NYC! I has a neuroma on my right foot and wet to see at least three podiatrist in New York City before I went to see Dr. Cunha; unlike the other podiatrists he immediately had a solution for me and my pain was reduced to practically nothing after a minimally invasive procedure and to top it off it was the most fun I've ever had at a doctors office, the staff is amazing and very welcoming!

I saw Dr. Muguel Cunha as a second opinion for an ankle injury sustained in an accident. The first orthopedic doctor I went to was very certain it was only an ankle sprain based upon the radiographs he took in his office. When the ankle was no healing appropriately, I was referred to Gotham Footcare. Dr Miguel Cunha was very attentive and listened to all of my concerns. As a runner, it was imperative that I heal quickly to start training again for the upcoming NYC marathon season. He suggested an MRI. The MRI showed several ... read more

I was referred by my podiatrist at University of Pennsylvania to see Dr Cunha for a Morton’s Neuroma. I had a previous surgery to remove the neuroma and developed a stump. Dr Cunha did a simple minimally invasive procedure called a cryosurgery on my neuroma. I did it on a Friday afternoon, I had no stitches and went back to work on Monday. I have no more foot pain which have been suffering from for 10 years. I cannot thank Dr. Cunha enough.

I have a long history of heel pain. As a runner in various NYC marathons I am really hard on my feet. I developed plantar fasciitis and achiolled tendonitis. I was in search of the best foot doctor in all of Manhattan. I came across Gotham Footcare and realised Dr. Muguel Cunha was a plantar Fasciitis specialist. I had gone to other doctors that provided cortisone shots as a plantar fasciitis treatment but that was only a temporary solution to remedy the foot pain I was having. Dr Cunha's consultation was very thorough and p... read more

Dr. Cunha and his staff provided me with excellent care! I was very nervous about a painful ingrown toenail and he talked me through it very calmly and professionally. A prior visit with another podiatrist resulted in extreme pain which I now realize was entirely unnecessary. Dr. Cunha's procedure was done without causing unnecessary pain and I was tremendously relieved! He is a very compassionate doctor, hard to find these days! I highly recommend him.

I was proscrstinating doing my bunion for a number of years. The pain became so unbearable I had to do something. I went to 5 doctors in New York. Once I met Dr. Cunha I felt comfortable moving forward with the procedure. Thank goodness I did. A few weeks later I had a corrected bunion, a beautiful foot, no viable scar and most importantly no Pain! The doctor is meticulous, professional and put my at ease the whole time.

Dr. Cunha is a very knowledgeable surgeon with excellent bedside manner. He took care of my painful and ugly bunion and I couldn't be happier with the results. The after care was also wonderful as his staff is very caring and the office is beautiful. I highly recommend this practice for any podiatry needs.

There are ton of Podiatrists from where I live in Westchester to Manhattan, but I will only see Dr. Cunha and come into the city. He is truly an expert of his profession and genuinely cares about his patients' well being and foot care. He reviews the care plan and makes his expert recommendations. I have complete trust in his competence and expertise. Sometimes it is hard to find a really good doctor and you look to people who have. I don't just recommend him, I highly recommend him.
