I had to budget 2 hrs for each visit. I was waiting on average 45 minutes for appts even for early morning appts that lasted about 5 minutes. Dr. Welch cancelled 3 appts in a row over 2 months--and her staff forgot to call me for the last one--I found out when I arrived at the office after taking time off of work. I never did get in for the visit--which the office required to refill my prescription--which they would not do because I was not seen in the office--that I couldn't get seen because my appts. were cancelled. Her personality is great. She has neat, relaxing sayings in her office and waiting room. I like going to her. She has performed 2 biopsies for abnormal skin growths with competence. I was quickly notified of pathology results. I strongly recommend her!
Dr. Welch became upset and left the room when confronted about the length of time we were required to wait (nearly an hour). Kept reiterating that she was a "Doctor" who "saves lives" and should not be chastised about such matters. Essentially told us to find another doctor if we had a problem with waiting. Refused any further services to my daughter that day and sent a staff member into the room to give us a refund and send us on our way. On my visit on the 23rd, I had to wait for about one hour and I received roughly one minute of service. I should point out that the long wait time is not an anomaly. During my son’s visit just the month before, we had to wait for almost two hours. I could understand the long wait time if I saw that you take the time to care for your patients. I made appointments for my children several times. Each time the appointment was cancelled without explanation. I rated the knowledge poorly b/c I do not know what her knowledge is. I was not able to get my children in to see her. She kept cancelling the appointments. If you want to see a doctor, I highly recommend going elsewhere.
Very understanding and professional. Excellent bedside manner!
Dr. Welch is a kind, caring, compasionate doctor as are her assistants. I would highly recommend this office.
