I went to get an opinion from Dr. Michael Wang referred by a relative. I had lower back pain for the last for years. Did the previous work of getting the X-rays and MRI's on time. After a 40 minute pre screening by the nurse aide,had o wait for 40 minutes for him to show up. He had a photographer working on his profile. Two thumbs up! I am very happy with my care at UM. It's a long wait as some other have posted here, but the spine is a really important part of your body :). I would and have recomended him to several of my friends.
Got excellent care with him :) I have referred many of my family and friends to him since my surgery!
What an excellent doctor! I am so happy I had a chance to visit with him. He diagnosed me after so many others have failed. The spine is so complicated and there is so much conflicting information out there, particularly on the internet so I am very grateful to Dr. Wang and his team!
Dr. Wang is an excellent doctor. He gives you the options you have and respects your decisions. Patients need to think for themselves as fas as what is the best option for your health and your quality of life. Dr. Wang was very honest during my visit and he did explain in detail the possible outcomes, should I had decided to proceed with surgery. I decided not to have the surgery and Dr. Wang did not push or try to convince me of having unneccesary procedures. Overall this was an excellent experience!
Spent about 7 minutes with me. A few weeks later I was at surgery. Did not explain well what he did to my lumbar spine, residents saw me after that. I am about 5-10% better. Was not worth it. Getting the surgery redone since other doctors are saying he missed spots on some of my nerves. I wouldn't do it again.
I had a very nice experience. The doctor spent about 40 minutes going over all the options prior to my operaion. It is important for a surgeon to do that.
Very candid and honest. Hard to find that nowadays.
Both my wife and I had surgery with him. We are both doing great. It's been 4 years for me and two for her, and were bith very happy. The clinic is a long wait, but it''s kinda like a restaurant.....don't trust the food if you dont have to wait.
