Please read this if you are having a minimally invasive procedure for fibroid removal! Dr. Moore removed what was thought to be a fibroid two years ago via myomectomy and morcellation from me. Morcellation is a procedure that cuts up the fibroid inside your body so that it is easier to remove. In my case it was not a fibroid but a cancer called leiomyosarcoma. He is insanely knowledgeable in the field of Women's Health and he takes the time to ensure you understand exactly what is going on with you. After each appointment where education is needed, he will sit down with you and explain the concept to you in ways that a normal person can understand. Dr. Moore is competent and knowledgeable about reproductive issues that many women face. I appreciated that he does exams himself rather than relying on imaging from another facility or provider. Although he remains current on treatment options and surgical techniques, I felt as though he was more interested in recommending and trying the newest surgical techniques rather than truly considering whether or not it would be in my best interest and most appropriate for my situation. I give Dr. Moore my highest recommendation; he is truly exceptional! I have a strong family history of ovarian cancer and wanted to reduce my risk for the condition. My experience was extremely positive from start to finish. I was very nervous about the decision and he took the time to answer all of my questions. Dr. Moore is simply amazing!! Prior to meeting with him, I had already had two major surgeries to remove fibroids with one presenting complications after. I wish I had knew him then as I believe I would have had a different procedure all together. Not was he able to answer all my questions, but also has great bedside manner. And I can't say enough great things about his office staff. Kim and Summer are both wonderful to work with.
Dr. Moore is the best! If you have fibroids you need to go see him. I thought I had to have multiple surgeries and he made everything work in only one! Highly recommended!!
I've been a patient of Dr. Moore's for several years. He first treated me for a fibroid tumor, and most recently a hysterectomy due to nearly constant pain with adenomyosis. I saw Dr. Moore back when he first started practicing for fertility. I later used him again for a different gynecology problems, and also stomach problems he worked with the gastroenterologist and he was the first to guess scar tissue going back to laperscopic surgery in the 1976-78 when I had cancer. He is the best doctor ever. He listens, he cares, and he goes out of his way. He even comes and sees you before surgery. Dr. Moore and his staff are amazing!! I feel so fortunate to have been referred to him by a fellow nurse and my PCP. Everything from the scheduling, procedure and post op recovery was seamless. I was able to go home later in the day after laparoscopic surgery on 10/24/19. The next day I felt good enough to take short walks outside. Dr. Moore is terrific and I highly recommend him. CR
