Dr. Bredenkamp treated my thyroid condition, cancer with complete thyroid removal. The visits and operation all went as planned, no issues, no recovery problems. He is quick to get to the point of the visit and takes care of the problem without a lot of needless banter. Worth every penny to get rid of cancer.
I couldn't say more positive things about Dr. Bredenkamp. I was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer and Dr. Bredenkamp removed my entire thyroid. I have never had surgery before, so naturally I thought I would be terrified, but he made me feel at ease from the first meeting. He is absolutely brilliant, and answered my LONG book of questions :) I couldn't be happier with the scar, it is incredibly thin. I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and at the last minute before surgery I had to change surgeons. Luckily I found Dr. Bredenkamp. I called his office and was given an appointment the very next day. He took his time during my appointment and thoroughly explained the surgery. Recovery from the surgery went very well and within a few weeks I was feeling like myself again. When the bandage came off after a week my wife was amazed that there was visible scar.
My son and I have both had Dr Bredenkamp for different surgeries. He is an excellent surgeon!
Dr. Bredenkamp may have literally saved my life. He was quick to diagnose my form of cancer, recommended treatment and was able to determine and fix issues along the way. I am now 7 years free from throat cancer and am officially a survivor. From my perspective, Dr. Bredenkamp is the main reason why.
I have been seeing Dr. Jakobsen for about 15 years now, he is a wonderful doctor and I had nose surgery with him and I could not ask for better results.
After 6 months of seeing him once or twice a month he had no idea what was wrong with my ear! I went to a different Dr and in one visit he diagnosed my condition. Bredenkamp was disrespectful and acted like he wasn't concerned about my issues. He said my issue may be something I have to live with. Turns out I needed surgery and it was imperative, not something I could just live with. I would never recommend Bredenkamp to anyone!
I had a throat surgery performed by another doctor. When I called the office after surgery at night, they put Dr. Jakobsen on the phone as the doctor on call. I told him that I can't breath through my nose, and asked him what I could do without hurting my throat, he told me that I should use this line for only life threatening emergency calls and hung up the phone on my face. This was not an emergency, and I didn't call 911. The operator on the phone was as much shocked and frustrated as I was.
Dr. Bredenkamp thoroughly explained the nature of my condition prior to surgery. He quickly assembled a top team for a complex and very invasive surgery for oral cancer. He used cutting edge technology to shorten the time under anesthesia.
