I have had at least 15 Mohs surgeries over the last 20 years, mostly in Oregon, and this was my first Mohs surgeon here in Arizona. Dr. Huether removed 3 basal cell cancers on my chest (not using Mohs), and I was left with a long (10 inch) "Z" shaped scar starting at the clavicle. His assistants used so much local pain killer, that I was shivering and shaking. Then he referred me back to my dermatologist to "take care of the scarring" which was left from the surgery. I will not return.
I was seen by Dr. Heather yesterday and my experience was wonderful. I was seen promptly and he was friendly and very professional. He spent time doing a full body exam and gently performed a biopsy on my shoulder. I also enjoyed viewing the photos of his children and their framed art on the walls of the exam room.
excellent skin cancer doctor. Maybe one of the best doctors I've had over the years.
