As a patient suffering from severe back injuries and chronic pain, I have lost count of the number of times that certain ER doctors have dismissed my pain and distress as drug seeking behavior. I have had horrible experiences with doctors that seem to have no understanding of chronic pain, or the difficulties I experience with this condition.
