Dr Max Shapiro and his staff were excellent during my visit and my colonoscopy endoscopy. They made everything easy in seamless, including their in-house surgery center. I highly recommend Dr. Shapiro!

No appointment will be discussed much less scheduled until payment is confirmed. They think you are lying if you tell them you are over 65 with Medicare. They demand the Medicare number. They will not even discuss much less confirm an appointment without verified payment. That and an unsatisfactory prior office expereince put me over the edge. Goodbye.

I had a colonoscopy on Friday with Dr Shapiro. He really listened to me. I had had 2 colonoscopies in the past with another gastroenterologist where I had severe abdominal gas pain for 6-8 hours afterward. I explained this to Dr Shapiro and he said he would work hard to remove all of the air as he did the colonoscopy. He was AMAZING!! I had NO pain!!! The nursing staff and the nurse anesthetist were also excellent!! I would highly recommend Dr Shapiro because he really listened me and did a wonderful job!!

Looking for a dr is a very personal choice. I was searching for a very knowledgeable Dr. Shapiro checked that box. I was seeking a Dr who explained things to me and had a dialogue about my care. Dr Shapiro checked that box .it would be a plus if the doctor respected me as a person and not a diagnosis. Dr Shapiro got multiple checks there also. I wanted an office where the service was kind, compationate and appeared to like their jobs. Dr Shapiros team got high ratings there as well. In short, Dr Shapiro provided excellent ca... read more

After having surgery 12 years ago causing chronic and unexpected diarrhea and being told by other Docters to learn to live with it , My first visit with Dr Shapiro was great. No more “learn to live with it”. He began trying different medications under he found one that worked. After all the years of embarrassments and inconveniences, Dr Shapiro is my super hero. He is the best. James Alexander

I wish for my doctor to be: Knowledgeable Compassionate Great Communicator Reassuring Responsive to patient needs Dr Shapiro checked off all the items on my list and much, much more. It was such a pleasure to be treated by Dr Shapiro. The plus side was all of his support staff is welcoming, helpful and so pleasant. What a great experience. Thank you Dr Shapiro and your staff for setting a standard of care that I wasn't sure was attainable in this day of being overworked and understaffed.THANK YOU!!!

Need more doctors like him. He understood my situation and that I was reluctant to get a colonoscopy 3 years after my last one. He reviewed my records and the prior colonoscopy results and explained how it was okay to push it back a year or two. I loved that he used good judgement and science/genetics to delay the procedure. Many physicians push procedures because that is how they make money. He put science and his patient above profits! A rare bird.
