It was so refreshing having a first visit with Dr Kirk. I was a bit concerned about surgery and turns out I don't need it yet. There was no pressure, which really stood out to me. Although it's quite a long drive, this is where I'm going back to when the time comes.

Primary importance is a physician taking the time to educate, inform and answer questions. Dr Kirk provides this and I appreciate his excellent care.

I have been seeing Dr. Kirk for quite a while and he is always very helpful. He explains what's going on with my eye and gives me good, clear choices about what to do.
Dr Kirk is very professional but personable. He was trained at one of the best eye hospitals in the country. I've recommended him to all my friends for cataract surgery.
Dr. Kirk is an awesome Ophthalmologist! He just completed cataract surgery on my left eye yesterday. He is professional, gentle, and very understanding. I was very nervous, however, he was very patient with me and took the extra time to diminish my anxiety. I actually look forward to getting surgery in my right eye in the next few weeks! I highly recommend him! His staff is outstanding as well!
I had a very negative experience. I had an urgent doctor's referral when I made an appointment and they got and verified my insurance information. When I arrived at my appointment they informed me that they did not accept Blue Shield's Platinum PPO (my plan) if it was sold on Covered California. I called Blue Shield and they verified that I was covered and Dr. Kirk's office was under contract with them for PPO services. Blue Shield faxed over multiple letters but I was denied service anyway
