My approach is simple. I treat patients like I want my own family members treated. It begins with listening, understanding their needs, and delivering quality, evidence-based care. These days, quality can be measured; for example my colonoscopy adenoma detection rate far exceeds national society guidelines--39% overall (2013-14).

Wonderful bedside manner and the experience to provide exceptional care.
First visit went very well. He took his time, listened and seemed sincere about taking care of my stomach issues (suffered years of gastric problems & seen other doctors). He performed a colonoscopy with polyp removal that went well. Never saw him again! He did not check on me after surgery. Briefly spoke with my wife in waiting room and assured her that he would continue trying to find out what was causing my problems. His office did not schedule a follow-up. I have called and left them NUMEROUS messages on voicemail and wi... read more
He has took good care of me the past 3 years, I started seeing him in the middle of a flare up and had an insurance change that had me need to find a new doctor. Ended up in the hospital and he fought to get me a new medication started that has helped me. I am so thankful for him and his nurse Elizabeth.
If I could leave zero or negative stars I would. Dr. Jackson refused to treat my sister who has been dealing with "gastro" issues for many years. She was not satisfied with the care of her previous gastro dr and decided to seek treatment with another dr. Dr. Jackson accused her of doctor shopping and told her that he would not to treat her, to go back to her previous doctor or Vanderbilt. I've heard of people dr shopping for meds but never for seeking better care. Dr. Jackson shame on you.
Dr Jackson took very good care of my mom and her ulcer. He went well beyond his call of duty to treat her and make sure that that she received the surgery required to fix it . Follow up is amazing
