My sons have been seeing Dr. Urbach since the age of approximately 9 months old. He has pulled teeth on an emergency walk-in basis without charging an exorbitant amount. The trains, games, and toys are educationally sound and soothing to children and parents alike. My co-worker, who is a school nurse, highly recommended him and my family has been extremely pleased!
Took my 3 year old and 4 1/2 year old and had a great experience! The kids didn't want to leave. The office is set up for the kids not the parents! Going to the dentist can be very scary and I think they have done an excellent job of creating a fun atmosphere.
The office is always very loud and the wait is HORRIBLE! I had taken my son during the week and on a Saturday and both times be waited 3-4 hours. Customer service from the staff, especially the billing assistant, was very rude and unfriendly. My son, who was 7 at the time and accustomed to going to the dentist, refused to return to Dr. Urbach's. We ended up bringing him to our dentist and he loves it!
The decor is bright and the videos and train are loud, but my children, who can be anxious and sensitive, never seem to mind. Everyone is friendly, helpful, kind and chipper. The staff always talk to my children and are unfailingly positive. The dentists (Dr. Urbach also has two associates) will take the time to explain what they see and what they recommend. I took my 2 yr old daughter to Dr. Urbach and she let him look at her teeth with no problem. Which is odd for a 2 yr old. She loves the train and the murals on the wall. I feel it is a very welcoming environment for children. Especially Disney fans! So far my daughter has enjoyed her visits there and we will be back in 6 months! I recommend his office to anyone!
I was recommended to Dr. Urbach by my sister-in-law and have had great service. The office has a nice large waiting area with lots of toys and a train my kids love. Dr. Urbach is very nice and takes the time to answer any questions. The service time is normal, except on Saturdays when the wait can be a little longer due to volume. I would definately recommend Dr. Urbach's office to my family and friends, especially for younger children!!!
As a child I went to Dr. Urbach's office for years and it was always a terrible experience. From the first time you set foot in the door you are greeted by loud movies, a train, and incredibly bright murals that do nothing but make you anxious as you sit in the waiting room. He was never very gentle giving shots or anything else in his procedures and I quit seeing him as soon as possible. His office does nothing but give you headaches.. even if you havent gotten dentist work done.
