BEWARE: In May 20017, he performed cataract surgery on my left eye. My first question at the next day follow up was: When will I get my sight back? Had no vision for over 3 weeks, so no longer trusted him. I got 2 consults from other surgeons to find the implanted lens was not correctly placed. They advised a PRK procedure, to laser my cornea (scary) to better fit the lens and was not covered by insurance (m/care or my supplemental), so I had to self pay. DON'T USE FOR CATARACT SURGERY.
I've been going to Dr Griswold for over 3 years. Very good service, and friendly staff. He did both cataracts with no problems. My vision is 25/20 for the first time in my life.
What should have been a routine cataract surgery developed into a nightmare. Husband went in on Thurs, perfect vision on Fri. No vision on Sat. Dr. couldnt see him until Mon pm. Ended up in emergency surgery that evening by a cornea specialist to perform a vitrectomy due to major staph infection. Over 20 people waiting for cataract surgery that day. Yes, this is a common surgery & is done every day & because of that I think proper cleaning & prep is sacrificed. 3 surgeries & still no vision
I was rushed through my last 2 visits. The examinations were not very thorough and the assistant was extremely rude. I changed to another doctor who gave me a very thorough exam using more modern equipment and spending more time to discuss my vision issues. Another note: Dr. Griswold was 4 times as expensive as my new doctor yet provided vastly inferior care. I was also refused one appointment because I was a few minutes late despite calling in advance to notify I would be 12 minutes late.
Wow! What a poorly run Doctor’s office. I had an appointment today and was slowed by construction traffic. So I called to let them know I was on my way, but would not be there early as they had requested and I had planned. They wanted me to reschedule, but I had already taken off of work and been driving more than 45 min, so I told them I intended to make my appointment. Turns out I was about 4 min late (6 min by their clock). Oops – too late! They are “shorthanded today and can’t take me late
He is quite likable, but he does things to quickly that he sometimes misses things that he should not.
